A few years ago, Yara Suomi Ltd Uusimaa production facility signed a maintenance contract with Tamtron (former Lahti Precision). Yara’s production processes and the high quality requirements of end products require a process of numerous claims in demanding conditions.
The maintenance manager Panu Ahrnberg is pleased with the agreement. “As a scale expert Tamtron knows exactly the things that affect the accuracy of weighing scales. In addition, after regular maintenance, they will provide us a report which summarizes the performance of the scales, as well as recommendations for any additional maintenance or the need for scale component replacement. This improves the planning of the maintenance of our facility, “says Ahrnberg.
Jari Brandt, the Service Business manager at Tamtron, explains that the company is aiming to increase the number of pre-service contracts. “This is useful for us in improving the efficiency of our operations, but above all for our customers who are given the reliability of their equipment. This will allow our customers to focus better when developing their own core processes.”

“In addition, the annual maintenance of the scales and other equipment and the periodic inspections every three years ensure the efficient use of the scales. Our goal is a genuine partnership in which the service will continue to be developed agilely together with customers in the future. Because of this nature, we recommend a monthly billing service. ”
