Tamtron (former Lahti Precision) has designed and implemented a portable modular weighing and dosing system for BMH. It is used to dispense granular sulfur onto a conveyor belt according to a specific recipe. The system is mounted directly on an existing conveyor bridge.
The system is assembled from standard solutions according to customer needs at the Tamtron factory. It is equipped with e.g. two radio controlled large sack lifts to transport sacks to large sack unloaders.
Internal electrical and automation cabling, internal and external lighting, electric hoists and compressed air connections are also included at the factory.
The roof and wall structures have been executed according to the architect’s plans.
The modular system is quick to install and flexible to deploy. The system saves time and money significantly, for example investment costs.

Why did you choose this modular solution?
For BMH, the modular structure simplified transportation and ensured handling at an installation site with little storage space. The modular solution also reduced the bulk to a minimum, thus reducing the risk of loss. From the installation point of view, the structure is good because the hardware was new to them too. The modules were clearly interconnected, so the possibility of errors is very small.
How do you think the project progressed?
The project proceeded well despite the high and demanding specifications of the end customer. Comments were promptly considered and we also received the necessary documents flexibly. Although granular sulfur material was new to Tamtron, the feeders it required were already well-known and tried-and-tested. Experience has laid a solid foundation for good delivery, which we value.
Will the solution bring added value to you or your customers?
This delivery gave BMH good experience in purchasing and supplying such equipment. We are confident that Tamtron will also provide strong support for the upcoming launch phase this autumn. Our customer appreciates the clear structure and good service ability, which we believe has been achieved very well.

The delivery project went smoothly from the time of the call for tenders and Tamtron showed good professionalism with its refinements and keeping the delivery time. If there is a need for similar delivery in the future, we will definitely ask for a new offer from Tamtron.
