Dosing solutions

Our dosing solutions are configurable and consist of different equipment and elements to be tailored for each purpose. The system is built of high-quality components, providing our solutions with higher availability and better accuracy than standard systems available on the market. Naturally, there are differences in detailed selected technologies when it is talked about coarse or excellent materials to be dosed. Our dosing technology often offers a competitive alternative to traditional dosing by the screws.

In most industries, accurate dosing is crucial for end product quality or stability of the continuous processes. Generally, production process dosing accuracy goes hand in hand with the process cost efficiency and the end product pricing potential. Practically, this means that by utilizing our dosing technology, the yield is better when the reject or quality downgrading percentage is smaller.

The customer also gets the advantage when costly raw materials’ dosing accuracy goes to a smaller tolerance window, and extra materials are not needed just for security. These small-sounding things are releasing resources for essential business-critical matters. A highly compact and straightforward layout with minimum maintenance and a superior dosing speed /accuracy ratio can be reached when discussing bulk materials’ dosing, including fine ingredients utilizing our fluidization technology.

Alternative dosing technologies

Our dosing technology is selected according to the process requirements and the material characteristics. For example, the dosing equipment can be a Loss in Weight (LIW) feeder, belt scale feeder, big bag unloading station, or dosing with valves based on mass flow by gravity for fluidizing bulk materials. Common for all of these is that the used load cells are high quality to choose the optimum weighing indicator.

Our WA-series indicators control the dosing process, and the control system can govern the whole process.

How to gain the maximum advantage

Tamtron professionals have long experience in building the best purpose dosing system. Our dosing technology can’t be copied because process engineering always includes silent information that can be obtained only from Tamtron. Therefore, we recommend our customers make contact at the beginning of their investment and design process. We are cooperating in many cases with three parties (customer – Tamtron – engineering office), too.
